Draycott and Rodney Stoke Church of England First School
Welcome to our website!
Everyone at the school is committed to creating a caring atmosphere in which each child may reach the highest possible standards in all areas of their work. Learning should be both challenging and enjoyable and we offer a wide range of activities and opportunities to suit each child.
We also place great emphasis on the development of personal and social skills and attitudes, so that children learn what it means to be a caring and responsible member of the community. This sense of community and the importance of recognizing and valuing everyone's contribution within it is an essential part of the children's experience at our school.
We believe that each child will succeed through experiencing quality in learning partnerships between school, home, church and community and with an ethos of support, challenge and encouragement to succeed. Each child will experience a broad and challenging curriculum, imaginative teaching in a stimulating and organized learning environment and a rich and varied range of learning resources including up-to-date information technology and an enriching programme of extra-curricular activities and visits.
We demonstrate our commitment to working together as a learning community by striving for continuous improvement in all that we do as well as working collaboratively towards common goals.
We are proud of our school and you are always welcome to see the school in action, share in our activities and ask any questions you may have.
Welcome from the Chair of Governers
The responsibilities of the governing body have grown at a tremendous pace over the past ten years.
Draycott and Rodney Stoke School is very fortunate in having such a dedicated and caring governing body who give many hours of their valuable time, voluntarily, to work with the teaching staff in developing our school.
We attend training sessions regularly to update our knowledge and help us make the right decisions for the school.
As governors we try to support the Headteacher and her staff to maintain high standards along with a happy atmosphere at
the school.
