Lights, camera - action!

Following bespoke hat designer Louis Mariette's recent visit to The Kings of Wessex School, four star Photography students had another treat when they were invited by Louis to a photo shoot at The Paramount Club in London at the end of last half term.

The first snap for Sixth Form students Daniel Albone, Emily Gardner, Matthew Martin, and Daisy Robinson-Rattle was the stunning view over London from the 31st and 33rd floors of the Centre Point Building, near Tottenham Court Road. The budding photographers then had opportunity to meet Louis' team and to photograph the show from the preparation stages through to the after party.

The show was a collaboration between Louis Mariette, Celebrity Milliner and Nichole De Carle, Designer of Bespoke Lingerie. Akin to Fine Art rather than traditional perceptions of lingerie - Nichole De Carle's latest collection is inspired by famous architectural wonders and the Da Vinci Code symbols. Kings' photographers marvelled at the visually stunning exhibition forms, and took over 5000 photographs during the day.

At the After Party the students mingled with fashionistas and celebrities, networked with designers, photographers, film crews, and other interesting members of this glamorous fashion community.

All of the photographs from the show were edited by the team of students and given to the Designers who are using the images for press releases, magazines and newspapers, as well as their own advertising.

Glowing about the day, Acting Subject Leader for Art Tracy Cowell said: "I was truly proud of our students, and the mature attitudes and professional quality of their work are testaments to the work of our school. I was delighted to see them networking with members of the fashion community and talking to professional photographers and asking for tips and advice."
