Kings Fitness & Leisure
The operational and legal control of The Kings of Wessex Leisure Centre
transferred across to the governing body of The Kings of Wessex Academy on 1st April 2009.
In addition to all the practical implications involved in the transfer, including establishing new management systems, direct debits, membership schemes
and TUPE of staff across to the school, the Centre has been re-branded under the trading name Kings Fitness & Leisure and since 1 April 2009, has exceeded
all expectations in delivering a successful leisure centre for the community.
The Centre has been very proactive in delivering a programme of maintenance to a very high standard together with a number of exciting initiatives
aimed at reducing the energy costs including new efficient movement sensor lighting in the swimming pool.
Kings Fitness & Leisure looks forward to continuing to develop the Centre in accordance with its Business Plan and providing a wide range of
activities at competitive prices for enjoyment by all sectors of the community.
