Cheddar is famous for its Gorge, cheese, and strawberries. It has three schools and five churches, and currently one reservoir – and to think it is only a village.

80 years after the first reservoir was built, a second reservoir is needed due to population increase in the South Mendips. After looking at over 50 different sites Bristol Water is in the consultation stage to build a £100 million Cheddar Reservoir Two 200m south of the existing reservoir.
