Welcome to The Kings of Wessex Community School.

This website seeks to convey something of the ethos, standards, and opportunities that we provide for our young people.

As one of the leading schools in the South West, The Kings of Wessex strives to provide a first class education for all. We have high expectations of our students and work hard to provide the opportunities and support that will enable them to reach their full potential.

We believe passionately that everyone matters. Students are expected to work to the best of their ability in all that they do. We are a forward-thinking school, but at the same time we still believe in traditional values. All our young people are expected to be polite, show respect for others and maintain high standards of behaviour.

Our staff are committed professionals who work hard to ensure the academic rigour and attainment of this school. Excellent examination results are achieved year after year and a high proportion of our students go on to University. Equally impressive are the achievements of our students beyond the classroom. The school provides a wide range of clubs and activities and is strong in the areas of sport, music and drama.

The Kings of Wessex is a Specialist Technology College, which means that we are able to provide our students with state-of-the-art IT facilities and enhanced opportunities in Science, Mathematics, Design Technology.

The active involvement of parents in their child's education is crucial to success. We are keen to work with parents and ask that they actively support the school in its work.
