In each academic year there is one Parents' Evening per year
group, when subject staff are available to talk with you about your
Parents' Evenings are organised by an electronic booking
system from SchoolCloud. A letter will be sent to families prior to an event; bookings
can be made by parents on line up to 48 hours before the consultation
evening. Where students have two family homes we would ask parents to
liaise, with regards to appointments, and attend these meetings
Arrangements can be made at other times to meet the Tutor, Head of
House or other teachers if problems arise. Please do not hesitate to
contact us if you have any concerns about your child's
education. If there are problems with your son or daughter at home we
would also like to know as soon as possible. We are always pleased to
see parents by appointment.
The Parents' Evening system enables you to book your
appointments online. Appointments will be between 4pm and 7pm.
You will login to the Parents' Evening system using your
Firefly login details. Just click the Login with Firefly button.
Booking for appointments normally opens at 10am on the Saturday
two weeks and four days before a Parents' Evening. There are
only a maximum of 33 appointments for any teacher, and potentially
many more parents who would like an appointment, so it is advisable
to book early.
Occasionally appointments you may have booked in for the
Parents' Evening will have to be changed in order to assign a
correct teacher for the class. When this happens we will always try
to keep to the same time as closely as possible, and you will be
notified of any change by automatic email from the system.

Virtual Parents' Evening
Because of the situation with the coronavirus, Parents'
Evenings will take place via a video call. This is done using the
same system from SchoolCloud that is used for booking appointments.

Multiple Parents/Teachers on a Video Call
Parents' Evening now supports more than one parent or teacher
in a call.
How do we set multiple teachers to join appointments via video
Up to 3 teachers, in different locations, can be part of the same
video call with a parent. They must be booked together in a single
appointment, and the class needs to be set up in Configure Evening >
Class Teachers with multiple teachers, ensuring you select the An
appointment will all teachers at the same time option. Please see the
following help article How to use the Class Teachers page for more
How do we invite a second parent/guardian to join an appointment
via video call?
Once an evening is set to be held via video parents can grant an
additional parent/guardian access to their appointments. The details
of how they do this are explained at the foot of the parent guide,
which you can supply direct to your parents - they do not need to be
logged in to view it.
Note that a call can have a maximum of 4 people in it at any one
time. In cases where a school has assigned 3 teachers to take joint
appointments for a class, a parent can still invite a guest, but once
the number of participants in the call reaches 4 no further people
can join it (unless one of them leaves).
