Friday the 2nd of December was the annual Cheddar Festive Night and the Kings of Wessex Academy students were back in the Garden of Fragrance, in their Big Pitch Market. This year, the competition was sponsored by local company FSC, based in Cheddar.
This year’s market saw a selection of Christmas goodies, all handmade by Year 9 Big Pitch students. The products on sale ranged from recycled wooden wellie boot holders to a variety of delicious home baked goods. The Year 13 Diploma in Business students helped to plan, organise and direct the event, whilst also running their own stall as part of their Event Management Unit of work.
The Business Studies department would like to thank FSC for their amazing sponsorship and marketing which really showcased the huge effort and entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated by the students on the night. We are also really grateful for the parental support and enthusiasm that is invaluable to the department and the success of the competition.
