BTEC Professional Work Skills

Work Skills is a suite of qualifications designed to equip students with the skills for job success and career development.

This is a Course to provide you with the skills needed to make the next steps whether in work or education. The Course is designed to enable you to gain additional Level 2 Qualifications, alongside GCSE English and Maths if required.

The Course is suitable for students who wish to:

  • Achieve a qualification to prepare for employment.
  • Achieve a nationally recognised Entry Level Qualification.

The Certificate consists of six units that reflect a process of learning: these include awareness of recruitment processes, exploration and development of skills and the confirmation of employability
knowledge and skills through practical, task-based activities and tasks.

Please note that this is a one year Course.

Successful completion of the course may allow learners to progress to a Level 3 Course.

SPECIFIC COURSE REQUIREMENTS
One GCSE Grade 4 or above or Grade C or above. Grading – The Qualification and Units are graded Pass/Fail. Students must pass all units to complete the Qualification.
