Welcome to the website of The Kings of Wessex Academy

As one of the leading schools in the South West, The Kings of Wessex Academy strives to provide a first class education for all. We have high expectations of our students and work hard to provide the opportunities and support needed to enable them to reach their full potential. In 2011, we achieved our best ever GCSE results, with 91% of students in Year 11 achieving five or more A*-C grades. 2011 also saw the A-level pass rate reach an impressive 98%, with over one quarter of these being the top grades of A and A*.

The school's specialism is technology, which means that we are able to provide our students with state-of-the-art IT facilities and enhanced opportunities in Science, Mathematics and Design Technology.

Ofsted and SIAS praise

The Kings of Wessex Academy was judged to be outstanding by the February 2010 Ofsted Inspection team. To quote the Ofsted report, "One student summed up The Kings of Wessex as ‘amazing’ and inspection findings endorse this view. It is an exceptional school with excellent performance."
