To the Parents/Carers of Current Year 9 (2017/18 - Year 10 from September)

The German Study Trip to Munich and the R.E. Study Trip to Poland

Thank you to those parents/carers who have expressed an interest in wishing to secure a place for your child on the above trips next school year.

At this stage in the Summer Term numbers are yet to be confirmed; but we have recorded your intentions and will be advertising the trips again in September in order to give all students and parents adequate time to consider these enrichment opportunities and to express their interest.

We wish you a lovely summer holiday and we will correspond again in September once we have finalised numbers.

We have received the Ofsted report from the safeguarding inspection in October, and have emailed a copy of the report to all our parents. You can read the report here


Schools Minister Praises Kings

Kings Confirmed as Top School!

Brass Band Concert to raise money for Cheddar Village Hall – Friday 29 June 2018

A big thank you to our talented musicians who performed in the concert last week and who supported the event.
A wonderful £837 was raised on the evening and will contribute towards the renewal of the Cheddar Village Hall.

Sarah qualifies for Elite Final Stage of Cyber Discovery

Year 10 student Sarah Moreman at The Kings of Wessex Academy ends the school year on a rewarding note as she has successfully progressed to the final stages of the Government’s flagship cyber security training programme, Cyber Discovery. Exam Results Summer 2018


Year 13's exam results will be released on Thursday 16 August 2018. The academy will be open for students to collect their results from 8am until 2pm.
Staff will be available to discuss results and university options until 2pm. An appointment system extending over subsequent days may be used depending on demand.

After A-level results day, the Exams Office will next be open to Year 13 students on Wednesday 22 August from 10am 12pm and Thursday 23 August from 9am 12pm and then in normal school hours from Thursday 6 September.

Year 11's exam results will be released on Thursday 23 August. The academy will be open for students to collect their results from 9am until 2pm.
Staff will be available to discuss results and Sixth Form course choices until 2pm. An appointment system may be used depending on demand.

Students who cannot collect their results in person have two options:
(1) Provide the Exams Office with written authority naming someone else to collect their results. This named person, if not a student, will need to bring their own photo ID with them in order to collect the results.
(2) Provide the Exams Office with a stamp suitable for an A4 envelope and an address to which the results envelope should be posted. These envelopes will be posted after 2pm on results day.
