Kings’ Core Values

At Kings, we believe that everything we do as a school community should be driven by our values, ethos, and culture. As a Church of England school, these values have always been rooted in the Christian tradition, and presented in a way that is useful for all staff and students, of all faiths and none. Here at The Kings Academy, we are passionate about delivering our values through PRIDE. The PRIDE values are embedded into the fabric of all we do at Kings, allowing everyone to live life in all its fullness and to believe and succeed.

Unicef Rights Respecting School

The Kings Academy has been awarded Silver UNICEF Rights Respecting schools status and is now on a journey to obtain Gold status.

The UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools Award puts children’s rights at the heart of schools in the UK, where children are respected, their talents are nurtured, and they can thrive. The Rights Respecting Schools Award embeds the Kings’ Core Values in daily school life and gives children the best chance to lead happy, healthy lives and to be responsible, active citizens.

At Kings, our Rights Respecting ambassadors meet every Friday and work on projects and campaigns to improve school provision, promoting inclusivity and rights awareness. The UNCRC (UN convention of the rights of the child) is referenced and linked to international awareness days and school events.
