Super Science Week
29th March, 2017 by Jude Owens
Earlier this half term, it was time again for students to have some fun in the Science lab for this year’s Science Week when an exciting range of activities were provided by the Science Department during lunchtimes.
The young Scientists learned how to make the perfect paper plane, solve a crime scene, making rainbow - and lots more! Events were well attended with a large numbers of students joining in the fun of discovery about our world that makes Science so fascinating.
Participating student Laurent Czechowski said:
"During the week I was involved in CSI Cheddar and the Lego Challenge. It was really fun. In CSI Cheddar we had to guess who was trying to poison Mrs Riddick's tea. It turned out it was Mrs Tincknell playing one of her casual pranks. The prankster herself was putting salt in Miss Riddick’s tea. What a funny joke!
In the Lego Challenge I had to make a Lego ball which was unbreakable. It was a great fun atmosphere and I had a great time with my friends."
A big thank you to all of the staff and students who took part and the Science Team are already looking forward to an even bigger and better event next year!
